How to get Eclipse Shol Legendary Weapon in Elden Ring?

There are many Legendary Armaments players will encounter in Elden Ring, each one of them one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

One of the most sought-after legendary weapons is perhaps the Eclipse Shotel, which players can get their hands on much later in the game. What makes it a fan favorite is the "death" state effect it brings with it. It is a passive stat that builds on the victim with each hit, and when the bar is full, the opponent succumbs to the effect and dies immediately.

While not as effective in PvP, Eclipse Shol is invaluable in PvE, especially against some of the toughest encounters in the game where they have to get past astronomical health pools.

It requires 10 Powers, 25 Dex, and 30 Faith to wield a weapon, and it's something Faith and Dex players have been grim about since encountering the weapon. However, being able to wield the Curved Sword is one thing and finding it is another, and the latter is what the community is having trouble with.

I hope today's guide can help them get their hands on the Legendary Armament.

Obtaining Eclipse Shol in Elden Ring

Unlike some of the other Legendary Weapons in Elden Ring, Eclipse Shotel does not hide behind an NPC quest and can be easily obtained after progressing through the main narrative. It can only be found in the late game area and there is no other way for players to capture it before that.

Eclipse Shol can be found in the Church of house Eclipse, inside Fort Sol in the Giants Mountains.

To reach the Mountain Peaks, the Blackened Elden Ring will need to:
  • First, drive through Leyndell, the Royal Capital. The Leyndell is one of the more complex structures to navigate in the game, and players often get lost in its maze of roofs, platforms, and stairs. But to reach the Giants Mountain Peaks, the Blackened must complete the city and defeat the main boss of the area.
  • After Leyndell they will reach the top of the mountain where they will find Castle Sol towards the northeast corner. From the first Place of Blessing they encounter there, they must climb the stairs to a wooden landing.
  • Players must then go straight from there and they will reach a room that houses a flight of stairs that take them up. After ascending, they will come to another landing, where they must pass through the church entrance on the right.
  • Once in the area, the Blackened Elden Ring can either fight or choose to overtake all the mobs in the area. Since there will be a Lost Site of Grace directly opposite the church, one can choose to avoid encounters and run to the checkpoint that activates it.
  • When Elden Ring players arrive at the Site, they will be able to find the Eclipse Shotel placed on a corpse. They can acquire Legendary Weapons simply by walking without having to complete long NPC questlines.
Eclipse Shol's Flare of Death is what makes it such a great weapon for later stages of Elden Ring as well as an NG+ run. While its base damage isn't that high compared to some other curved swords in the game, it's the stack of passive status that makes it a force to be reckoned with, especially when it automatically kills an opponent after filling the status bar.
