During the livestream, the developers confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will launch on June 30, 2022. Apart from that, there was information about five new monsters that will be released with this expansion.
Everything Monster Hunter Rise players need to know about the upcoming Sunbreak expansion
First of all, it's worth noting that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak pre-orders will start on March 15, 2022. Players who already own the main game can purchase the expansion pack separately.But those who don't own the base game will be able to purchase a combo set that includes both Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Second, with the brand new expansion, the developers have confirmed five monsters to be released. Two of them were already known, namely Lunagaron and Elder Dragon Malzeno.
Finally, players will visit a brand new location called The Citadel to set up their new outpost in Elgado. At the Elgado outpost, players will encounter new characters such as Dame Fiorayne, Admiral Galleus, Bahari (scientist), Chichae (duty lady), Minayle (Blacksmith), Oboro (merchant) and a few others to help the players. in their hunt.
Players' primary objective will be to overthrow Garangolm, Malzeno, and Lunagaron. These three monsters were named Three Lords by the Elgado outpost as they were the ones causing the most trouble.
But alongside these monsters, players will encounter others like Rathalos, Zinogre and Bazelgeuse in brand new master rank quests. Obviously, players will need to finish "Serpent Goddess of Thunder" in the base version of the game to take part in these missions.
While veterans have already done this, new players will be provided with a brand new Defender Set for free, which can be used to steam-scroll through the base game's content so they can join their friends on the Sunbreak journey.
