Where to find Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring?

One of the newest mechanics in Elden Ring is Ashes of War. This can greatly increase combat efficiency by applying a special skill to a weapon or shield, such as Parry or Sacred Vow.

The fun part is switching Ashes of War from one weapon to another, mixing and matching abilities for delicious combos and builds.

For example, the Bleed effect can be strong in Elden Ring. With enough practice, an enemy will bleed and take significant damage.

Players using Seppuku Ash of War can apply the Bleed effect more quickly in addition to increased damage.

Elden Ring: Loot Seppuku Ash of War from an invisible Teardrop Scarab

You will need to kill an invisible Teardrop Scarab. As if catching and killing in the first place (in melee) wasn't boring anyway, this one in particular is invisible. Fortunately, the invisible Tear Scarab is leaving clues to the Giants' location in the Mountain Peaks.

Unfortunately, reaching the Giants' Mountain Tops means beating a few mandatory boss fights like the infamous Starscourage Radahn. The Mountain Peaks of the Giants are divided into two main areas. Each area requires a different medallion: the two halves of the Relief Locket and the Haligtree Secret Medallion.

With access to the Mountain Peaks of the Giants, head to the northern area, preferably the Freezing Lake bounty area. Turn towards the lake with torrent and drive into the lake until you encounter the first two large trees on your right and left. Knit them until you see the white, glowing footprints.

To catch the Invisible Tear Scarab, you must:

Step 1 : Find a good spot blocking the scarab's path and wait for it to come back with your weapon ready. AoE weapons are particularly effective but not necessary.
Step 2 : When the Invisible Tear Scarab approaches, cut the air immediately while you are a few meters away. Attacking the scarab will reveal it.

With the Tear Scarab now dead, Seppuku Battle Ashes. To apply it to a weapon in Elden Ring, you'll need thrusting swords or polearms (except small and colossal weapons). You can also access Blacksmith from Roundtable Hold or Whetstone Knife.
